Leadership, Collective Ownership and Delivering the National Outcomes

The SLF action group on Accountability and Incentives has been exploring ways for public service leaders to make it easier to build our contribution to the national outcomes into how we work, so it’s not yet another add-on but simply part of how we run our organisations. That requires the whole accountability system to look through a different lens. In this report, Leadership, collective ownership and delivering the national outcomes, we’ve set out how this can be achieved with some tools to help and some examples of good practice we can all learn from. Launch of the National Covid Recovery Strategy

On 5 October 2021, John Swinney, Deputy First Minister and Cabinet Secretary for COVID Recovery, and Cllr Alison Evison, COSLA President, shared their ambitions for Scotland’s public services in the context of the national COVID Recovery Strategy. This online event offered Forum members an opportunity to ask questions, share reflections, and explore the key role of leadership in implementing the strategy.
